Heavy Equipment Operator Job Description

Our team is looking for a reliable, skilled Heavy Equipment Operator. This individual would be responsible for performing routine quality control equipment checks, understanding how to skillfully and efficiently operate heavy machinery, and following directions from your supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities of a heavy equipment operator include:

  • Operate heavy machinery and be able to maintain the equipment.
  • Know the ins-and-outs of cleaning, lubricating and performing regular safety checks.
  • Operate excavators to efficiently lift and move MSE and sound wall panels.
  • Operate bulldozer to push and move dirt for back-fill.
  • Be skilled at following instructions from Supervisors, and be open to on-the-job training.
  • Report any issues to the Supervisor or Foreman.
  • Perform thorough site clean-up and safety checks.
